I've missed you

I decided last spring to homeschool 6 more of the kiddos this year. We've also moved out of our house-sold it-, into a temporary house-the new house wasn't ready, and into our new to us house. All that took place from May to July.

Soooo, I've been quite busy, but maybe I can find my way back. I don't even read blogs anymore unless they have to do with curriculum for our school.

Happy Easter

Had a wonderful and uplifting service at church this morning. Ate lunch with the family. Hunted Eggs. Took a nap:)

It happened

I turned 40 today. I'm not one of those people that freaks out about how old I am.

We went to 5 Guys Burgers and Fries for dinner.

My mom got me these pjs. Ummm, remember where I went for dinner? Yeah, these pretty much sum up my food list.

She also got me a cake with Wizard of Oz characters on it. We'll have to save it until tomorrow.

Pics

Big girl in the courtroom chair.

The week of the adoption was spirit week at the high school. It was farmer day and Miss M forgot to bring shoes to change into. Hence the boots.

2 parents, 12 kids, 2 grandparents and 1 judge.

"Mommy! We can't smile, the sun is in our eyes!"

SOLD!

We sold our house! The first people that looked bought it. We negotiated a bit, but it sold less than a week on the market.

Our offer was accepted on the house we want to purchase that same week! God is good!

Oh, and last week, this little girl became a permanent member of our family:)

Our House

We listed our house on Tuesday. Had 1 showing Thursday, 3 showings on Friday, and have 1 scheduled for next Tuesday. Oh, and we just got a call from our realtor with an offer from the first viewers.

Yippee!

I pretended to be the realtor so that I could take some pictures with my new camera so I'll show you. And no we do not live like this. I had to do major room rearranging and rent 2 storage units for the overflow,ie home school and office stuff.

That's our house on the left and our detached garage on the right. Our property runs from the road on the left to the big, ugly bushes behind the swing set on the right. A little over an acre.

Coats, backpacks and shoes. Oh my!

This is my front hall closet

Uggg! I've rearranged it several times and it works for a while and then this. The cubbies are for shoes. Every shoe people 11 and under own are in their color cubbie. I have 2 in preschool, 5 in public elementary school, 2 homeschool  and 2 in public high school. That's a lot of backpacks and coats. I did have the cubbies side by side, but I can't put the hooks up too high or the littles can't reach to hang stuff up. If we move to the house I want, we will have great space for a true mudroom. Until then I'll keep rearranging.
